In efforts to reform their offense (a-la LSU), Georgia has made the move to hire Todd Monken as their new offensive coordinator. Monken comes from the Cleveland Browns where he spent just one season in the same position.
Monken is a great offensive mind. However, he has been placed in some positions where he hasn’t been able to run the offense to his liking. If Kirby Smart allows Monken to run his vertical-type offense, the Bulldogs’ offense could take a massive jump. This will be much needed as Georgia is losing most of their offense, including QB Jake Fromm. With this full offensive overhaul, there may be growing pains for Georgia. But, Todd Monken will bring a breath of fresh air to an offense that was putrid in 2019.
