2017 Bold Predictions

Brandon Wimbush Is The Truth

This kid could be a stud or a complete bust, but you know what? I have faith in him sight unseen to lead the Irish at quarterback. Notre Dame will win double digit games this season and it will be because of the high-powered offense in South Bend. Between Josh Adams, Equanimeous St. Brown, and CJ Sanders, this offense has fire power to go around and possibly the best offensive line in the country.

Oregon Faces a Quick Resurgence

Oregon is another team that struggled last year, but I think will return to how we are used to seeing them. I could easily see 8-9 wins from the Ducks in their first year under Willie Taggart. Justin Herbert is a rising star in the Pac 12 and Royce Freeman returns, looking to have a bounce-back season. I think that the schedule lines up well enough to give the Ducks a good chance for improvement.

Kliff Kingsbury Gets Fired By End of October

I think that if things get really bad in Lubbock, old Kliffy could be gone by Halloween. Texas Tech will lose to Eastern Washington this week before falling through a downward spiral on their way to the bottom of the Big 12. If he is the coach at this time next season, a miracle must have happened. I love the guy and think he’s a great offensive mind, but you just can’t never improve on defense. If they actually do lose to Eastern Washington, which I’m predicting, he’ll be lucky to be the coach next week.

Will Muschamp Finds Himself on Hot Seat

The mood in Columbia seems to be positive as the Gamecock faithful are enjoying the bright-looking future through their rebuild. Have some bad news for South Carolina fans though: the team isn’t going to be good this year. It depends on just how bad they are, but if the Gamecocks don’t make a bowl game, the fans may grow tired of Muschamp and his losing ways quickly going into next season.
