2020 Summit League Tournament Bracket
Favorite to Win: South Dakota State (+150)
Despite being the number two seed in the tournament, the South Dakota State Jackrabbits are favored to win the 2020 Summit League Tournament. With the #45 offense in Kenpom, South Dakota State should be able to light up the scoreboard. There is a reason that they are the favorites despite not being the top seed.
Team to Watch: Oral Roberts
The four seed will bring a high-powered offense to the 2020 Summit League Tournament and I think they may pose a potential problem in the semi-finals for the top seed North Dakota State Bison. Fitting a similar profile to South Dakota State, this potential championship matchup would be the most exciting possible outcome. Oral Roberts is 1-1 this year against North Dakota State and they have a chance to crash the Summit League Championship game.
Player to Watch: Douglas Wilson, South Dakota State
The 2020 Summit League Player of the year will lead the conference favorites into battle. After the three-year reign of Mike Daum, South Dakota State has their fourth conference player of the year award in row. Wilson averaged 18.7 points per game in his first year with the Jackrabbits. He is a key player for SDSU and you will want to keep an eye on him this tournament.
Current Tournament Teams: One
The Summit League is not a top-tier conference and there will likely only be room in the NCAA tournament field for one team from this conference.
Prediction: South Dakota State
I’ll take the conference player of the year and the favorites to overcome Oral Roberts in the championship game to go dancing.
