When Ohio State lost to Michigan, it not only lost a shot at a Big Ten Championship, but seemingly lost all hope for the College Football Playoff. But a stunning USC loss to Utah gave the Buckeyes hope. The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl becomes the ultimate “prove it” game for Ryan Day and No. 4 Ohio State. But it’ll have to get through the reigning champion No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs first. The Bulldogs are a 6-point favorite with the total set at 62.5.
Ohio State Buckeyes
Offensively, the Buckeyes average 44.5 points (2nd) and 497.8 total yards of offense per game (13th). Heisman finalist C.J. Stroud threw for 3,340 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions in 2022. This Buckeyes passing attack is led by two talented receivers in Marvin Harrison Jr and Emeka Egbuka. Both have over 1,000 receiving yards and 9+ touchdowns. Harrison Jr. is one of the best wideouts in the country in my honest opinion. Georgia is going to have a hard time stopping him. If Stroud and Harrison connect early, it will be a long night for the Georgia secondary.
Defensively, the Buckeyes give up 19.1 points and 320 total yards of offense per game (21st). Ohio State’s secondary isn’t the flashiest, but serviceable, and their rush defense gives up under 120 rushing yards per game.
Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia averages 39.2 points (t-9th) and just under 500 yards of total offense per game. Quarterback Stetson Bennett threw for 3,425 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. But it’s Georgia’s rushing attack averaging 207 yards per contest that deserves the spotlight. The Bulldogs have two running backs with over 600 rushing yards and 7+ rushing touchdowns: Kenny McIntosh and Daijun Edwards.
Defensively, the Bulldogs allow 12.8 points and 304.1 total yards of offense per game. Georgia also has the best rush defense in the country, giving up 76.9 rushing yards per game. There isn’t a bad thing to say about this Georgia defense.

The Don’s Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl Best Bet
The official play here is Ohio State +6. Ohio State is going to make this a close one and Georgia isn’t ready for this offense. I truly believe that Ohio State can win this game outright, but we’ll take the points just to be on the safe side. The official lean is the under. Ride the Buckeyes +6 tonight to cash out the last college football bet to the New YEAR.
