WEEKLY BETTING LINES, done by Luke Maiers and Austin Brown who are members of Team Joey Freshwater.

Current Record: 9-11

I will admit that last week we led you into a losing record, but in our defense we did say we had “blind confidence”. None-the-less, we will take blame and have a bounce back week. In fact, Austin even messaged me telling me that this was our week.

Now that is confidence. We have had some heart breaking misses and some close covers, but the ball will eventually start to bounce our direction, and when it does, watch out. You will want to clear your wallet on these picks. Let’s get to the spreads we like for this week.

Austin Brown

Kentucky -8 vs Kansas: Kansas has too much working against them. Carlton Bragg’s suspension means they’re down to 8 scholarship players. Landen Lucas is the only true big man left on the roster. Monk and Fox will neutralize Mason and Graham. I don’t see how Kansas has the depth to hang with em for the full 40.

DePaul +15.5 at Creighton: Creighton has looked absolutely hapless since Maurice Watson went down. I don’t trust their ability to beat anyone by 16.

Florida State -3 at Syracuse: This line is a reaction to the Noles terrible loss to GT. Syracuse is bad, and I don’t see FSU coming out flat two games in a row.

UNC -6 at Miami: This line makes absolutely no sense to me. UNC is really good and Miami is mediocre at best. That’s all I have to say about this one.

UT Arlington -5.5 @ Appalachian State: Scott Cross and the Mavs are college basketballs best kept secret this season. Give me Kevin Hervey and the points every time in this one.

Clemson -2.5 @ Pitt: Pitt has hit a big time skid, and with the ACC being so deep this season, they are getting buried in the conference standings. The loss of Jamie Dixon has really hurt this team this season.

Providence +8 @ Marquette: Marquette is coming off two monumental wins so I’m feeling a little bit of a let down here. They might win outright, but this spread is tough.

Butler -9.5 vs. Georgetown: The Bulldogs are a good home team and I think this could be a very good end to the season for them. Butler can move up the standings if they win this game, so I imagine they will give it all they got.

Iowa -1.5 vs. Ohio State: Peter Jok hasn’t been splashing his shots lately but I think he turns it around tonight against a struggling Buckeye squad. This young team needs to help him out, though.

Duke -3.5 @ Wake Forest: Maybe, just maybe Coach K stripping his players of some of their privileges might light a fire under their asses. I think Duke gets it done and covers.
