Yearly Record: 9-10-1
Lock Of The Week: Kansas -7.5 vs Duke
It’s the BASKET-BOWL. The Jayhawks are quickly becoming America’s team, and that’s why I’m riding with them this weekend. Kansas is 3-0 this season as a team and they have covered in all three of those games. The Jayhawks beat a good Houston team and a competitive West Virginia squad. Duke’s most impressive win is against Northwestern. With a sellout in Lawrence, I think that the Jayhawks smother the Blue Devils. LOCK IT IN, KANSAS -7.5.
Michigan -17 vs Maryland
While Michigan has played a remarkably weak schedule, they’ve rolled the teams they’re playing. The Terps may be 3-0, but they haven’t had a massive victory margin like the Wolverines, who are averaging 55.3 points per game and are allowing only 5.6 points per game. Maryland is walking into a battle against a ferocious offensive unit and a mean defense. The Wolverines will roll the Terps.
Arkansas +1.5 vs Texas A&M
WOO PIG SOOIE. When I bet on the Razorbacks, I get a scalding hot hand. I’m 2-0 on the year when I bet on them, and I genuinely enjoy watching them play because of KJ Jefferson. In every game this season, Arkansas has been the favorite and they are 2-0 in games where the spread is under ten points. I’m intrigued by them being underdogs, but I’m hot with them so I have to ride. When it comes to Texas A&M, I’m just not convinced. They lost to Appalachian State and put up an abysmal offensive performance against an overrated Miami team. All of this boils down to Arkansas +1.5.
Rutgers +7.5 vs Iowa
Are y’all ready for the punt-athon? Iowa has the worst offense in all of college football, averaging 217.7 yards per game with four total touchdowns. Rutgers is putting up 369.3 yards per game and are 3-0 on the year. When it comes to Rutgers on the gambling front, they’ve covered in two of their three games this season. I have a feeling that the Scarlet Knights battle hard and cover the 7.5-point spread.
USC -6.5 vs Oregon State
It pains me to put bread on USC, but this feels like free money. USC is 3-0 on the year and are 3-0 against the spread. Oregon State is 3-0 as well, but they haven’t look overly impressive. With Caleb Williams, Jordan Addison, Travis Dye, and behemoths on their offensive line, USC will overpower a stellar Beavers defense. I could see this game being semi-close in the first half, but the Trojans will roll in the second half.
