Last night some of you bettors may have fallen victim to maybe the worst bad beat of the season so far. To set the stage, Iowa State was favored on the road at Norman, from anywhere between 2.5 and 3.5 points. To make matters worse, the over/under closed at 146 points.
After two Iowa State free throws to make it 75-71 Cyclones, the over/under was now pushing and ISU was covering the spread. Then this happened:
🤮HOLY BAD BEAT🤮

BRUTAL. At the buzzer (or maybe even a hair after), Jamal Bieniemy, son of Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy, nailed a dagger that caused the outcome of many people’s accounts to flip. Because it didn’t end up mattering to the outcome of the game, the referees didn’t even bother reviewing it, meaning that this bad beat never stood a chance. If you had Iowa State and the under last night, RIP to you.
