It makes sense why some people aren’t on board the Lane Train. If you’re a Raiders fan, A USC fan, or a Tennessee fan, I may get it. He was young and jumped from one prestige job to the next. But besides those fan bases, it’s hard to find a reason to hate him. The dudes only 42 fucking years old. That’s insane. He’s held some of the greatest coaching jobs in football, period. Most coaches would kill to be coaching USC in LA, or in Oakland for the Raiders. Believe it or not, Tennessee used to be an amazing job and they actually had a good football program. Lane had all those jobs before he was 40. Insane.
I was firmly on the “NBA twitter is the best twitter” band wagon. But Jesus Christ I was wrong. So, so wrong. Lane Kiffin by himself has made college football the best Twitter follow out there. Add in guys like Les Miles and Mike Leach, and it’s a wrap. But to focus on the Lane Train, he’s the GOAT. I’ll never stop laughing at the Nick Saban jabs and the rat poison. It’s a running joke I’ll never get sick of.
Can you imagine if Lane tweeted like this while he was at Alabama? I strongly believe Nick Saban doesn’t understand what a tweet is. Or maybe he pulled a Bill Belichick and lies about it. Bill, don’t act like you really think it’s called “snapface” or “instachat”. That’s absolutely stupid and I won’t stand for people believing he actually doesn’t know what the fuck Instagram is. And yes I’m an Atlanta Falcons fan living in Massachusetts. And yes, I’ll always be bitter because Patriot fans suck.
Alright to get back on track, there’s rumors that he tweeted out a false meme of Nick Saban saying that to be in the college football playoffs they have to win their conference. By rumors I mean it’s totally true. Also for the record I’m no big J, so I didn’t do to much research on it, but rumors are it’s false. And by rumors I mean Saban definitely didn’t say that. But I don’t care. If Lane Kiffin Tweets it then it’s true. Hands down the best tweeter in football.
If a recruit sees #cometotheFAU, how can he say no? Plus those jerseys are fresh. FAU is basically on the beach and you know what? It doesn’t snow there. There it is. Beach, Lane Kiffin, Girls. What more could a football program need to succeed?
Anyway, I think it’s great that he’s staying put at FAU. It’s hard to blame him. He’s building something special down there in Boca Raton and I wouldn’t want to be playing against him. He’s an elite recruiter, offensive coach and masterful tweeter. Lane, keeping doing you and never change.
