Bet Against Us: February 17th, 2020

With A Little Help From My Friends (Remastered 2009)

I own a career 5-14 record in online sports betting. I’m not good. I don’t claim otherwise. Don’t follow my betting advice. I did not know how to place a parlay bet until today. Knew what it was, but not how to actually place one.

That said, I *do* get by with a little help from my friends.

Looking for a quick payout tonight?

Monday, February 17th, 2020:

Iowa State @ Kansas – o140.5

Kansas very well may be the best team in the country. Their size and strength in the post with Azubuike and McCormack opens endless opportunities outside for the latest Jayhawk to break their shell, Isaiah Moss. When Moss is open, he’s not missing.

The Jayhawks will roll tonight, but don’t discredit the fact Cyclones guard Tyrese Haliburton is shooting 50.4% from the field. Do yourself a favor and take the over.

Xavier @ St. John’s – u141

Xavier finds themselves favored 1.5 tonight, but ESPN’s BPI gives the Red Storm a 53.5% chance of defending their home court. Both teams average similar numbers in points per and points against per game, but it comes down to shooting and they’re not overwhelmingly talented in that regard. Expect a lid on the basket and a low scoring affair tonight.

Bucknell (-6) @ Holy Cross

Bucknell is nothing to write home about, but Holy Cross is 3-24 and not championing real competition either. Keep it simple and obvious and expect the Bison to blow out Holy Cross this evening.

North Carolina (+150) @ Notre Dame

Here’s your moneymaker and your upset pick. It’s never easy betting against Mike Brey’s boys in South Bend, but it’s Roy Williams on the other bench. Take the Tar Heels money line and run as fast as you can from the most disappointing ACC matchup you can imagine in 2020.

Washington Capitals @ Vegas Golden Knights (-125)

Yep, that’s right; we’re getting a little hockey action, too. The cherry-on-top if you will…

The Caps boast the best record in the Metropolitan, but continue to limp along, going 5-5-0 in their last ten. Meanwhile, Vegas rides in on a two game win streak, both victories coming at home. Look for the Knights to stay hot while the Capitals try to drain their late season swamp.

Go Ahead, Bet Against Us…

That’s the whole point here; I’m not a good gambler, but this isn’t my advice. I’m just the messenger and the message reads “5-leg-parlay. Enjoy the free money.”

So go ahead, bet against us.
