I might be a genius. I may not be able to read, but I’m a genius. After the first 2 weeks were absolutely abysmal, I flexed my fantasy football muscle like Dwayne Johnson has since he was 4 years old. That’s assuming he’s been ripped since he was 4… Here’s how the week went!
QC Fantasy Football
Team: Future Champion Record: 1-2
After 2 weeks of disappointment because of auto-draft, I flexed my “Sports guy” of the office persona by DOWNING my opponent 154.2-100.1.
Mostly stemming from James Robinson and Austin SEX-ler’s 30+ point performances, the route was on all week. The big question is, will the success continue?
Just Some Boys From MoHo
Team: Future Champion Record: 3-0
After a 2-0 start and going double-barrel tight ends for both wins, I started Waller and Henry again. Fantastic performances from James Connor, the Patriots D, and Patty Mahomes all lead the charge as another blowout occurred with an almost 30 point win, 149.9-120.5
Will I continue the double tight end approach? We’ll find out.
Student Union Podcasters League
Team: Future Champion Record: 1-2
As I mentioned last week, my prowess as one of the Student Union numbers guys was on the line this week.
Josh Allen had a team high 31 points. Nick Chubb added in 23 and with Davante Adams out, Allen Lazard threw in another 23. However, it hadn’t been quite enough. Going into Monday Night Football, the team was down 13.3 points. I had to get a nice performance from Chiefs rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He provided 64 rush yards and 5 catches for 70 yards to push the team over the top and get into the win column. Final score 142.4-139.8.
12 Tight Pussy’s
Team: hopihopwood’s team Record: 2-1
Usually, I struggle in this league. However, we might be changing that narrative.
After winning in Week 2 by 47, the team followed up with an EIGHTY-FIVE POINT WIN. Yes, that’s not a typo. 200.6-114.2.
Josh Allen and Dalvin Cook had 46 and 44 respectively and that’s all that’s even worth mentioning.
Tin Knockers
Team: hopihopwood’s team Record: 0-3
I hate everything.
Going into Monday we held a 111.4-89.9 lead. I have Travis Kelce and my opponent has Patrick Mahomes. As good as Mahomes is, I felt confident that if Edwards-Helaire played well enough I would go 8-0 with all 8 teams. However, Mahomes played God and scored 52.8 to Kelce’s 11.70. That resulted in a 142.7-123.15 loss. Heartbreaking.
Badger Fantasy League
Team: Judge Jeudy Record: 1-2
With pride on the line, we needed a big game.
MVP favorite, Russell Wilson led the team with 36 points. This team also featured Nick Chubb and Allen Lazard dropping a cool 23 points. With a very bad showing from my opponent, we get into the win column in this league too. Final score 113.5-80.5.
Samurai League
Team: Wallermelon Eaters Record: 2-1
Despite losing 1.1 running back Christian McCaffrey for the foreseeable future, this team racked up the points in a dominating win.
Facing 30+ point performances from Dak Prescott and James Robinson, we saw a lot of consistency and some big points from this roster. 7 players with 17+ points, ranging all the way up to 33 from Keenan Allen allowed for a 210.6-175.5 win.
Random Dynasty League
Team: Team BigHoppa32 Record: 2-1
I really like this league.
Playing my best friend, we had some extra motivation to play hard and win this game. Russell Wilson’s 43 and nice games from Calvin Ridley and Jonathan Taylor allowed for a no sweat, 20 point victory, 102.7-82.9.
Season Performance
Week 3 Record: 7-1 2020 Fantasy Football Record: 12-12
What a wild week. We put up some big numbers and now I can brag that in 8 (EIGHT) leagues, I’m at least an average all around fantasy football player.
