Brawling Green: Some Spring Break MACtion

Anddd we start off Spring Ball with a punch and a kick *ba dum tiss*. A handful of Bowling Green players were involved in a beach fight with unknown individuals. The video shows what looks like a scuffle between some BG player’s and other people on the beach. Punches were thrown, some guy is face down in the sand, and people are yelling. It’s almost the perfect Worldstar video just missing the all covenant WS tag or rap music in the background or people screaming “WORLDSTAR.”

Also, shout out to the camera man who whipped out either his 2008 Blackberry or his Stop Motion Camera to record this. It’s 2018 pal, if we can’t see the teeth flying out or some blood being drawn, get a new phone. I’ve seen better footage of Bigfoot than the quality of this video.

Seeing fights like this can be a very touchy subject, but as a funny writer and all around comical guy, I have to throw some licks in on this. A few things that have come to my head while seeing this video were along the lines of:

“If only they put up this much fight during the football season”
“The player’s landed more hit’s than the team had Touchdowns”
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the Dak Prescott College Football Spring Break Fight Club
“If only this Grit and fight would translate to the Football field”
“Bowling Green, more like Brawling Green amirtie”

I don’t know what type of classes they are teaching over at BGSU, but it might be some type of MMA or Boxing. This looks like the “fight” you would have in middle school when the school bully would steal your chocolate milk during lunch. This team barely knew how to tackle on the field, so I was in shock when I saw the most beautiful form tackle when I accidentally paused this video:

Pete Carroll has already fallen in love with this guy’s form tackling and stays up at night just thinking about it.

So, Bowling Green, congrats on officially kicking off the Spring Ball news. Your 2-10 team has now been suplex into the national spotlight in a not-so-good way. While it has nothing to do with football, it will help bring some more popularity to the Northwest side of Ohio. Also, please memorize this video and take it to heart, so next time a drunk, messy beach fight happens, you take it somewhere that it won’t be recorded by fellow drunk party members…(Which might I add, is from one of the greatest movies of all time)
