The Ohio State Buckeyes win in a tough environment in Ann Arbor on Tuesday night in a back and forth thriller. It was the second half where we got a lot of the action, as it seemed as though the lead went back and forth on every possession.
It was this play that really seemed to change the outcome of the game for the Buckeyes who have now won 3 straight to get them to 15-7 overall and 5-6 in Big Ten play. This play gave Ohio State two foul shots and the ball back, which in turn put CJ Walker to the line which gave them the 61-58 lead that ended up being the final score. This Buckeyes win in a tough environment will go a long way towards building their resume for the tournament.
Michigan now falls to 13-9 overall and 4-7 in conference. They have 9 games left, with 5 of those on the road. It will take some clawing to comfortably be in the field, but there is a chance the Wolverines go dancing come tourney time.
For Ohio State, they as well have 9 games remaining. However, they haven’t been a consistent home team like the rest of the Big Ten seems (maybe Northwestern excluded.) Two road games that stick out are Michigan St and Iowa. A home game that could prove very difficult is their game against Illinois (they are the current B1G leaders.)
Either way, if this game is any indication on to how these last few weeks of the season are going to go, we are going to have a LOT of fun.
