Central Arkansas vs Austin Peay: 9 PM EST on ESPN
Did anyone else wake up this morning with a little pep in their step? Well, you probably did, because college football is back.
Tonight, on ESPN, we have the offcial kickoff of the college football season as Central Arkansas will take on Austin Peay.
Yeah, its an FCS game but who cares? Its college football. It’s back.
We have all been waiting so long to start gambling on college football again. I know this year is going to be different but dammit, I am excited to bet some overs again. Let’s take a look at the official odds for tonight
Odds: Central Arkansas -4, O/U 43.5
While Central Arkansas is terrible running the ball (118th out of 124 FCS teams) they have one of the better passing attacks led by senior quarterback, Breylin Smith who ranked fifth in all of FCS with 3,704 passing yards last year.
Austin Peay is led by its defense. Last year, they led all of the FCS in defensive scoring with 20.6 PPG. HOWEVER, they were able to pull off 34.5 PPG on offense.
One thing to keep in mind for this game….. A god damn natural disaster.
Hurricane Laura will impact Alabama Saturday night when the game will happen. It may just be a lot of rain but it is something to keep in mind when thinking of the total.
My Picks: Central Arkansas -4, O 43.5
I’m going to take the better offense in this game. We will see if Austin Peay’s defense can keep up with one of the better offenses in FCS. And I don’t care what the line is, my first reaction is to talk myself out of the over. In this case, I couldn’t convince myself.
