Most of our wishes were fulfilled last week with Ohio State, Washington State, and almost every top Big 12 team coming out victorious. The only one we didn’t get to cause true uproar was LSU over Alabama. At this point, it’s all about the top four teams losing and everyone else closing the gap. On paper, this week’s slate of games is pretty weak, but sometimes that makes for the craziest upsets.

Mississippi State at Alabama

Dan Mullen and the Bulldogs have two weeks in a row in them? Hey, we can dream right?

Michigan at Iowa

Iowa has looked pretty rough lately and maybe isn’t that good, but maybe just maybe they can recapture their skill from last season to upset the Wolverines and rush the field.

Pittsburgh at Clemson

Seemingly lacking a defense, Pittsburgh will attempt to come in and send the Tiger’s hopes upside down. They don’t have the talent to beat Clemson on the road, but it could be a possibility if Clemson turns the ball over at the rate they have at times this season. If Nathan Peterman takes care of the ball and the Panthers win the turnover battle by a large margin, they could also win the game.

USC at Washington

Wouldn’t it be something if USC could force their way back into the top ranks of the nation after being terrible at the start of the year? Ronald Jones II is one of the most underrated RBs in the nation and he’ll be looking to show it on a national scale. This week Washington also lost their best pass rusher, Joe Mathis, to a season-ending foot injury, giving Sam Darnold more time in the pocket. For sake of the playoff, the Trojans probably don’t matter, but they could hurt the playoff dreams of the Huskies and at least give us one good game this weekend.
