Are you new to gambling? A veteran? A numbers nerd or always trusting your gut? No matter who you are, you’re looking for a bet to cash tonight. I have that bet for you.
Last night was unfortunately a loss, with Phillies OF Nick Castellanos going a measly 1-5. Unfortunately, that one hit was enough for our U 0.5 hits bet to lose. However, today we get back into my wheelhouse: college football.
Last Saturday, I gave out Will Shipley’s rushing yards over. It was a roller coaster. A few nice 5-6 yard runs right away. Then suddenly we got a heavy dose of back up Phil Mafah. As Shipley closed in on the over, he broke a run into the secondary and fumbled. It seemed the bet would be dead in the water. However, Shipley got a few more touches including a 50 yard TD run that solidified the over.
Record: 3-5 (-1.86u)
The Bet: Bryce Ford-Wheaton O64.5 rec yards (-113)
It’s no secret TCU’s defense has been a tale of halves. The Horned Frogs are 7-0, but the pass defense continues to struggle. Their total EPA against the pass is 105th out of 131, despite being 34th in success rate. That means big plays will happen. Ford-Wheaton has gone over this number in three of seven games. He is WVU’s leading receiver and No. 1 target. This spread is 7.5 in favor of TCU. Whether WVU has to throw to stay in the game or they throw in order to win the game, JT Daniels’ top target is going to have to have a big day for the Mountaineers to pull off a big home upset.
