As I think to myself everything that is going on with my beloved Buckeyes, I start to wonder, “If everything that has happened is true, who is gonna replace Urb?” Well I’ve put together a little list of people who could realistically replace him, and people who I personally would like.
Lane Kiffin:
I’ll start with the number one choice for me, and it should be the number one choice across the country besides a few places (Alabama, Clemson, Georgia.) Kiffin would be a lot of fun to watch, especially with the rivalry that would ensue with Jim Harbaugh.
Ryan Day:
This is kinda a cheat as Ryan is the current interim coach, but if he has a successful first year, then who’s to say that he wouldn’t at least have his name thrown around as someone who can replace Meyer?
Matt Campbell:
He’s an Ohio guy, he’s coached at Toledo University, I don’t think anyone fits the mold anymore than Campbell does. Though he hasn’t exactly won a lot of games at Iowa State, he made a splash with beating Oklahoma and TCU last year.
Jeff Brohm:
Brohm has already put his stamp on what has been some dreadful years in Purdue football. After leading them to their first bowl win since 2011, he has put himself out there for bigger Power 5 jobs as he was in talks to become Tennessee’s head coach this past year, and who knows, maybe we’ll hear his name around the possible job opening that is Ohio State Football.
