Henry Ruggs: 2020 NFL Draft Breakdown

Henry Ruggs from Alabama might be the best wide receiver this class has to offer, and that’s saying something. His combination of blazing (like, BLAZING) speed and soft hands make him make him one of the best receiver prospects of the last few years. Ruggs cemented his status as a top-15 prospect at this year’s combine where he ran a 4.27 40 time. He stands at 5’11” and 188 pounds.

Positives:

I’ve mentioned it three times already, but his speed is out of this world. The only athlete comparable to him in the entire NFL is Tyreek Hill, and even he wasn’t making the catches Ruggs was in college. Ruggs can get up too. His vertical and timing making him not only a speed threat, but a jump ball threat. He has a solid release and can run almost any route. Surprisingly tough given his size. Speed will translate to any offense in the NFL.

Negatives:

Honestly, there’s not many. He can struggle with his release at times, but that’s not very often. Doesn’t have the size to be as physical as he really is.

I mean, look at this.

Superstar Wide Receiver Outside
