That is right, ladies and gentlemen. The man that is 2-0 his last two game of the year’s now has a Nuclear Whale Missile Play. What is the difference? Not much. A game of the year is something I limit to one per season per sport. We cashed that with ease with Kentucky -2.5 over Florida. A Nuclear Whale Missile Play is almost to that level. I WILL be putting an ungodly amount of money on this play and it WILL be hitting.
The play
Iowa State -2.5 over No. 21 Kansas is my Nuclear Whale Play. There are a few reasons for this. One, this is my FAVORITE spot. Home, unranked favorite over a Top 25 team. Kansas is No. 21 in the country. So why are they underdogs to an unranked Iowa State team? For one, this Iowa State defense is very good, especially against the run, where Kansas excels. The Jayhawks are also down to their second string QB Jason Bean, who is good, but not as good as Jalon Daniels. Also, even with the Iowa State offense being pretty bad, I think they will be able to move the ball against a terrible Kansas defense.
The second reason I LOVE this play is Kansas is coming off their biggest win in years with a 38-33 home win over Oklahoma. College athletes are still college students. I’m sure they had a heck of a night and a week celebrating the big win and are in no shape to travel on the road to Iowa State. The Cyclones are a sneaky 4-1 in Big 12 play and have a legit shot to be in the conference title game with a win this week. Matt Campbell was on the hot seat after a loss to Ohio but has bounced back beautifully. Back Iowa State in this one with all you’ve got. This is a winner.
