I, Zachary Scott Spiecker from Surprise, Arizona, just won Student Union Sport’s first Madden Tournament!

I went 2-1 in region play and was the 3 seed going into the playoffs. I beat Luke in a classic before blowing out Dan and Cody on my way to the championship game.

Waiting for me there was Anthony. Thanos himself. This is the same Anthony that scored 100 points on Patty during the tournament, beat Luke 84-7 and was my only group play defeat.

I was terrified.

Then I lost the first game like 63-20 or close to that. Come on. I thought I was finished. But a combination of chewing the clock, field goals, a Dalvin Cook fumble on the goal line and a last second interception by my man Minkah Fitzpatrick created the unbelievable.

I won 13-10.

I want to give Anthony a huge shout out. He is by far the best Madden player I’ve ever gone up against. I just had a good game.

But that good game got me a championship!!! I’ll celebrate tonight and then start my prep for next year’s tournament. See you guys then.
