It was an electric start early as both teams were pushing the ball at a frantic pace. In the end though there was only one team that had the endurance to finish the track meet that we saw in the opening minutes. The Raiders keep the pressure on Oakland and Cleveland State with this 73-45 win on the road. It was a disappointing finish as IUPUI lose another game as we get closer to the final stretch of the season. Their losing streak extends to 11 games now.

The Jaguars coming off the massive loss at #19 Ohio State (83-37), have found a a way of staying competitive in spurts. They just haven’t found the will to finish a game collectively. After the under 8 timeout, the Raiders went on an 22-3 run to finish and go up at the half 39-20. Offensively IUPUI has to find some sort of rhythm as thy won’t be able to stay in many games shooting 8-21 from the field in a half, while allowing the opposition to go 15-28.
The Jags were led in scoring by Bakari LaStrap as he scored 10 points with 6 rebounds. The Raiders were led by Grant Basile as he posted 20 and 8 boards. The Jaguars are back in action on Saturday as they host the Northern Kentucky Norse. Wright State will head up to the Windy City on Saturday to face UIC this Saturday.
