Record to Date: 4-1
Syracuse at #15 Notre Dame (-8)
It would be an understatement to say that Syracuse has been a disappointment this year. This team has honestly been pretty bad. Notre Dame just suffered a close loss on the road to Florida State earlier this week, so look for the Irish to rebound here at home to stay tied atop the ACC.
Miami at #18 Duke (-9.5)
I’m well aware that this is the College Gameday game. I’m also well aware that Miami is a decent team at 12-5 and Duke has been struggling. Regardless, I sense some real blowout potential here. I’d almost take Duke in Cameron by 20.
Penn State at #21 Purdue (-12.5)
Can’t say I’ve really watched any Penn State basketball this year, or really ever in my life. I have, however, seen Purdue play (spoiler alert: they good). I think Caleb Swanigan and co. will get the job done at home.
Marquette at #7 Creighton (-5)
After suffering the loss of one of the best point guards in the nation in Mo Watson, the Blue Jays will have to find a way to move on to try to keep their championship dreams alive. Having watched Marquette blow a game to Butler in epic fashion on Monday while Creighton was still able to beat Xavier without the soul of their team tells me that Creighton should win this game handily.
Stanford at #11 Oregon (-14)
Since the return of Dillon Brooks, Oregon has just been running roughshod through the entire Pac 12. I’ll put an asterisk on this game as it is rumored Brooks may not play, but this team has been clicking on all cylinders lately, winning their past 15 games, including victories against UCLA by 2, USC by 23, and Cal by 23. That goes to show that Oregon has beat the three best teams they have played in the conference by an average victory margin of 16, all at home. Oregon gets it done here.
