My Video-Game Player of the Week for this week is Alan Bowman, who put up huge numbers as Texas Tech won in a shootout against Houston.
This past Saturday, Bowman threw 5 touchdown passes for…………………605 yards. 605! That is some real NCAA video game type shit. That’s like when you create your own QB on “Road to Glory” and try to win the Heisman, so you put the defense’s difficulty on JV and run Hail Mary on every play. And yes, I did just compare Houston’s defense to the junior varsity difficulty on NCAA.
However, this is still 129 yards short of the NCAA record for most passing yards in a game. That record is held by Texas Tech’s previous QB, Patrick Mahomes, who is doing alright in the NFL I guess.
Something about that Texas Tech offense.
