Kyler Murray is the first player to be chosen as a Video Game Player of the Week more than once. It seems like every week he is putting up big numbers; this week he literally outdid himself.
Murray scored 7 total touchdowns (6 throwing, 1 rushing) and racked up 477 total yards with 0 turnovers in the Sooners 66-33 win over Baylor. It’s almost impossible to play better than that. And if your quarterback puts up those types of numbers then I don’t care who you are, you’re not losing. Which would explain why the Sooners are currently 5-0.
Kyler Murray now has 1460 passing yards and 17 passing touchdowns on the season. He is without a doubt a serious Heisman contender at the moment; his 7 touchdowns on Saturday tied Baker Mayfield’s Oklahoma record for most touchdowns in one game. And of course, Mayfield went on to win the Heisman.
Could Oklahoma have back-to-back Heisman winners?
