After another 200 yard performance, Joop Plesec is showing why his heart is his greatest asset.
Magic Number of 3
It’s early in the MHSAA high school football season, but the first season for City High/Middle School is going VERY well. The offense exploded for 35 points behind 5 touchdowns from Joop. In the next 2 weeks, they continued the success by putting up 21 points in each game. That includes this week’s 3 touchdown performance from Joop.
Despite Joop’s 584 yards in the Pegasus’ first 3 games, the defense has been just as good if not better. The Pegasus’ have outscored their opponents 77-6. We have ever seen a team at any level, let alone high school football, start a program on a better note. Their 3-0 start is almost as surprising as the 3 stars that Joop has earned just as quickly.
3 Stars
After his 2nd, 200 yard game of the season, Joop has gone from unknown 0- star to a 3-star asset. Western Michigan was the first to notice, most likely due to their close proximity to Joop’s hometown of Grand Rapids. Despite the glaring lack of athleticism, inability to catch the ball, and inability to make defenders miss, Joop has worked his way into the eyes of recruiters. His production being a result of averaging over 30 carries a game, some teams are seeing a light in the young man.
Newest Offers
Toledo– The had 5 running backs ever drafted. Including embattled running back Kareem Hunt who was taken in the 3rd round in 2017.
Purdue– Despite some notable quarterbacks like Kyle Orton and mostly Drew Brees, the Boilermakers haven’t had a running back drafted since Eddie Watson in 1998.
Coming Up
The Pegasus play Roseville (1-2) this week. After a Wisconsin Badger recruiting coordinator was spotted at last week’s game, you might see Joop talking to one of the best producers of running backs in the coming weeks.
