While the Wisconsin Badgers have been effective at evaluations to a point where they have put themselves into their current position as a playoff-worthy team, fans naturally want to find someone with star quality coming to their school in the near future. For the class of 2019, the Badgers landed themselves a tremendous pickup on Sunday when high four-star Grand Rapids, Mich. (East Kentwood) offensive tackle Logan Brown, who committed to Wisconsin after their 24-10 win against the Michigan Wolverines.
Add to that the good feelings of going into Michigan and earning the commitment of a star-level prospect with strong interest in donning the maize and blue of the Wolverines (with additional offers from Alabama, Ohio State, and Penn State among others). It’s easily one of the better recruiting days the Badgers have had in a while.
In terms of rankings, Brown is ranked by the recruiting services as seen below:
- 247Sports (composite): Four stars, 0.9648 rating, No. 76 national, No. 7 OT, No. 3 MI
- 247Sports: Four stars, 93 rating, No. 88 national, No. 10 OT, No. 2 MI
- ESPN: Four stars, 81 grade, No. 187 national, No. 18 OT, No. 13 regional, No. 4 MI
- Rivals: Four stars, No. 28 national, No. 3 OT, No. 2 MI
Brown joins athlete Leo Chenal and quarterback Graham Mertz as the current members of Wisconsin’s class of 2019, which looks very promising for the near future. Check his official word on Twitter:
