After winning 5 games in a row, securing a #11 CFP ranking, and looking to be like true contenders in the SEC East, the Florida Gators threw all that away for a chance to be the coveted Loser of the Week. So congratulations Florida, you’re this weeks biggest loser.
Mizzou marched into the Swamp winless in the SEC and decimated the Gators 38-17 to ruin homecoming in Gainesville and scure their first SEC win on the season. To make matters worse for Gator fans, Missouri beat Florida all the way into a QB controversy. Starting quarterback for the Gators, Feleipe Franks went 9/22 for 84 yards and accrued an impressively bad 27.3 QBR before being benched for backup Kyle Trask. Trask provided a quick spark of momentum after driving for a touchdown late in the third quarter, but quickly stalled out. Dan Mullen said on the QB situation “We’ll see how they perform this week. If there’s a drastic change, we’ll make a change. If not, we’ll play with who is going to give us the best chance to win.”
