Mizzou’s QB Situation Post-Lock Era

https://youtu.be/BejkNn_gLPA

Believe it or not, Drew Lock is finally leaving Mizzou after playing for what seems like 7 years (or what we like to call the J.T Barrett Plan) and his future is going to be a bright one. Lock is being whispered as the 2nd/3rd QB in the Draft, Behind Justin Herbert and Dwayne Haskins (both who have not yet declared so Lock maybe QB1) so no matter what, Lock will be paid to throw a leather ball come this spring. With the Arm-Sleeve Assassin leaving the Tigers however, they are not gonna be left without a few “new-born” cubs.

Kelly Bryant:

Clemson’s stud dual threat QB Kelly Bryant announced a few weeks ago that he would be playing at Mizzouri for the 2019 CFB season. After losing the biggest QB battle of the offseason/regular season to Trevor Lawrence aka Sunshine, he left Clemson and was the top transfer to land. This was a huge win for Coach Odom because Bryant was one of, if not the best QB in the ACC (maybe behind my lord and savior Ryan Finely).

But not long after Bryant announced his decision, a underrated yet decent Big12 QB announced he was going to transfer.

Shawn Robinson:

Shawn Robinson, the TCU QB, decided to take his talents to the MidWest as well and is gonna be playing at Mizzou as well. Robinson is coming off of a disappointing 2018 campaign due to shoulder injuries, will have to sit out the 2019 season due to NCAA Regulations, which comes at a perfect time for the Tigers. Why Robinson or Bryant chose Missouri out of all the other teams that will be losing QB’s (Penn State, NC State, ASU, Iowa, etc.) is unknown, but seeing the way Lock plays and his stat sheet may of been one of the leading factors for their decisions.

2019/2020 Outlook:

Finding depth at the QB Position after losing one of the best pure passers in the game is hard to do. But luckily, Coach Odom and Missouri got some Christmas gifts early with the additions of Bryant and Robinson, their 2019/2020 QB and possibly the players who can help them rise up in the “stout” SEC East (aka beat UGA or Florida)
