Jermaine Johnson Over 0.25 Sacks +124
Tonight is going to be a huge one for New York pass rushers. The Jets have a great pass rushing unit and it starts with Jermaine Johnson who has three sacks over the past three games. He’s playing at a very high level and it won’t stop tonight. Rashawn Slater has regressed a bit as he has a PFF grade of 74.6% and has allowed one sack. Opposite of him is Trey Pipkins III and he’s worse. He has a PFF grade of 60.8% and has allowed five sacks. Expect to see Johnson pinning his ears back early and often.
Bryce Huff Over 0.25 Sacks +175
I said it’s going to be a huge night for Jets pass rushers, so why would I stop at just one? Bryce Huff is one of the league’s more underrated players, and while he did start the season slow, he’s picked it up the past three games tallying 3.5 sacks in that time. Johnson uses more of a finesse approach in pass rusher while Huff utilizes power. Their yin and yang dynamic will make life hell for the Chargers offensive line tonight.
Austin Ekeler Over 84.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards -115
Ekeler has only played in four games this season, but in two of them, he’s gone for over 84.5 total yards. That on top of the fact that six running backs this season went for over 84.5 rushing and receiving yards vs the Jets makes this feel inevitable to hit. New York hasn’t played a back as dynamic as Ekeler and he has the potential to thrash them. He’ll see favorable matchups vs Jamien Sherwood and C.J. Mosley, two players who struggle in coverage. We’re hammering this over.
Justin Herbert Longest Completion Over 35.5 Yards -120
It’s no secret that Herbert has a huge arm and loves to push the ball downfield. The proof is in the numbers as his longest completion in five of the Chargers seven games has been over 35.5 yards. While the Jets do a great job defending the deep ball, it’s tough to defend deep threats like Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston play after player after play. The Chargers will hit a few home run plays by way of Herbert’s arm and this over will hit.
Breece Hall Any Time Touchdown +115
What would one of my prop blogs be without an “it’s due” bet? I can’t necessarily explain it, but my friend who is a Jets fan told me that Hall is due. So we’re riding with someone who has watched every game this year to guide us to the promise land. Hall has rushed for 2 touchdowns in the past three games, which were his first two rushing touchdowns of the season. Again, there’s not much analysis other than it’s due.
