Week 0 and Week 1 of the college football season are all about getting the setup right. If I could, I’d love to have the many TV’s of people like Phil Steele or Barstool’s Big Cat but the sad reality is I’m just a dude with a podcast that loves college football. When flipping through the games, I settled on NIU-Boston College. This wasn’t necessarily because it was the best game, but more because I had the Huskies +8.5 (shoutout Rocky Lombardi). During said game, BC QB Thomas Castellanos made video game-like play on 4th and 5 to get an insane conversion. Me being the #content guy I am, I decided to take a video of my TV to tweet out for the Student Union Sports account.
I mean, this is a thing of beauty. The glare of the sun peaking through. The two TV trays where my wife and I usually eat dinner off of holding up the ONN TV. It’s peak Saturday college football season in the Owens household. Of course, I had to laugh at some of the comments on it, but if you’re a real man’s man, you know and understand the situation.
Thank you, K.Y. I agree it is a pretty sick TV stand. I really didn’t think much of the tweet until I saw it was picked up by both Overtime and Barstool Sports, as well as gained traction on the College Football Reddit and other media outlets such as Hurdles on Instagram. All in all, my wack TV stand was putting up numbers north of 500K across the internet.
Now the last thing I’d like to point out is that guys who are obsessed with wall mounts are real hardos. I have no issue with dudes who mount their TV’s, but we can all admit it’s a try hard move. Also, what people are failing to understand is that this is my backup TV. It comes out of the bedroom every Saturday and Sunday when it’s time to lock in to multiple games, then goes back in the bedroom for the rest of the week. My actual living room TV has a beautiful stand. The haters are so sick. But check out this losers comment.
Shoutout this guy Huggy for defending a bro. Clearly, Bklyn Way has forgotten what being gritty and in the trenches means. He’s too far gone to realize what going to war for 12 hours on a Saturday is really about. We pushed NIU +8.5 across the finish line, and I intend to keep doing this all year long watching games on my TV posted up on my TV trays. Hell, they’re called TV trays for a reason.
