NCAA Football 13 Chronicles: Reality Check

Shooter is back and the last dance of his college career in NCAA Football 13 continues. When we last left off, Shooter and the boys were off to a 4-0 start and were absolutely rolling. However, the recent news of his dream girl Haley Cruse getting cuffed by Milwaukee Brewer Garrett Mitchell sent Shooter down a mental rabbit hole. Some even began to question if he was deserving of the nickname Shooter after this simping saga delayed the next few games of his senior season.

@ Washington

With his team sitting at 4-0 (unranked) and the loss of his hopeful PAC-12 power couple, Shooter was not lacking motivation going into Washington. He had everything to prove and a bit of a chip on his shoulder. The Huskies knew they had no chance from the start but it took a late fourth-quarter drive from Shooter to seal a 31-28 victory.

USC

Shooter is 0-3 in his career so far against USC and gets them one last time at home. The Trojans were the team who head coach Herm Edwards played a backup right end at running back against the season before. The right end ended up dropping three straight goal-line touchdowns to lose the game.

The Sun Devils are sitting at 5-0 and are still unranked, they’re not even receiving votes. Safe to say that Shooter and the boys are feeling slighted.

Shooter got out of the gate slow, the Sun Devils were down BIG early and things were not looking great. It appeared as if Shooter was finally back to being the quarterback of old. However, a late fourth-quarter comeback got the Sun Devils within striking distance but the defense could not hold and ASU took their first loss of the season 34-41. The Sun Devils now sit at 5-1.

@ Utah

A quick trip to Utah resulted in another late fourth-quarter comeback win for Shooter and the boys. 27-24 victory in Utah.

#5 Oregon

Here it is. The Haley Cruse revenge game. Shooter and the boys are 6-1, still not receiving votes and now he’s got something to prove against Haley Cruse’s Oregon Ducks. There was a lot of build-up and hype going to this game and Shooter let the moment get too big for him. If anything to proved to Haley why Garrett Mitchell was the better choice. 52-7 loss and we might be back to reality in Tempe.

Shooter and the boys are sitting at 6-2 while still remaining unranked. Three huge games remaining against one loss Cal, UCLA, and the rivalry game against Arizona. A PAC-12 conference championship is still not out of the picture and these last three games will be pivotal.
