New Years Resolution: Purdue Edition

Well it’s been a couple weeks since the “New Year New Me” posts have come and gone. Now it’s about time to look at what Purdue should switch up going into next year with their New Years resolutions.

For Purdue, next year they need to get a lot better athletically. It was very clear that in their bowl game they’re still lacking that next step. They for sure had one of the weirdest seasons this past football season. Having lost their first three games including one against Eastern Michigan. Then went on a four game win streak that included a win against then #2 Ohio State.

Resolution #1

So for Purdue’s resolution they need to match the athleticism of the rest of the B1G, and the rest of the country. They are starting on the right track with 4* recruit David Bell, a wide receiver from Warren Central in Indianapolis. He’s a big physical athlete and he will be Elijah Sindelar’s (presumably Purdues qb1 next year.)

Resolution #2

Since we are on the topic of QB1, the Boilermakers are gonna have to find someone to replace David Blough. Coming into the season, everyone and their cousin thought Sindelar was going to play over Blough, but after a career year from the senior (6/147 in WAR total and 8/147 per game.) Hopefully for the Boiler faithful Elijah will return to the for he was in two years ago

Resolution #3

For their final resolution, you have gotta think that they just want to keep trending upwards. It will be hard to do going into next year with the thumping that Auburn gave them in the Music City Bowl. However, I think it will have them eager to get bowling again. With the amount of talent that they have coming in, it is hard to see there being anymore one-win seasons in West Lafayette.
