2020 may not have a college football season. That is still up in the air and who knows what in the hell is going to happen. But, Big Ten presidents did meet this past weekend to discuss this decision. On the Dan Patrick Show Monday morning, Dan said that he had a source tell him that only two B1G presidents voted in favor of a season – Iowa and Nebraska. *Enter Rutgers podcast*
Never in my life did I think I would be out here going to war for both Iowa and Nebraska, but I guess we both have a new common enemy. Some schlub of a podcast that has ties to a top five worse college football program ever has chirped both Iowa and Nebraska. The show is tied to Rutgers.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! A Rutgers podcast is going to chirp? I am absolutely dumbfounded. I’m not even going to slander this JOKE of a program. I am going to provide actual statistics to prove these idiots are as stupid as they sound.
Rutgers’ Record
I know record isn’t the best indicator on a team’s ability to score, but with how little games Rutgers has won since joining the B1G, it makes sense.
The Scarlet Knights joined the conference in 2014. Since then, they have gone 19-52 with only 10 Power Five wins. To top off that embarrassing record, they only have seven conference wins. They are like a tanking team in the NBA, except they aren’t trying to lose. They are just that bad.
Just for fun, I figured out Rutgers’ all-time record against B1G teams. They are 20-76.
Offensive statistics
Their offense has been an absolute JOKE too. Here is their scoring by year: 2019 – 19.9, 2018 – 25.7, 2017 – 21.8, 2016 – 23.5, 2015 – 27.3, 2014 – 28 = AVERAGE OVER SIX YEARS – 24.4. That is just downright horrible.
Now, let’s compare that to Iowa’s offense who by no means is a juggernaut: 2019 – 25.8, 2018 – 42.8, 2017 – 28.2, 2016 – 24.9, 2015 – 30.9, 2014 – 28 = AVERAGE OVER SIX YEARS – 30.1.
And now Nebraska’s: 2019 – 28, 2018 – 30, 2017 – 31.1, 2016 – 26.5, 2015 – 37.3, 2014 – 37 = AVERAGE OVER SIX YEARS – 31.7.
Rutgers is a giant wart on the rear of the B1G. They don’t do anything for the conference aside from reap the benefits of being a Power Five school. They are one giant, blood-sucking leach that won’t let go.
Know your place
Yeah, I can’t stand Nebraska or their fans, but here I am defending them just like Iowa. Congratulations to this stupid podcast for adding Rutgers to the list of teams I absolutely hate. The only difference between the other teams on that list and Rutgers, though, is that I will never be worried to play them. They are a joke of a program, and apparently have the least educated podcasters known to man. #Cheers
