- 51 kids on that UCF roster have now experienced both a winless and an unbeaten season.

THIS…..THIS, MAN. What kind of guy takes a team that was WINLESS 2 years ago to UNDEFEATED? I’ll tell ya who: A freakin’ winner, AKA Scott Frost. Get to know the name. Get used to it, because this guy is here to stay. I don’t care what level of football, basketball, baseball, or badminton you coach, if you take a team who literally did not win a game just two seasons ago and take them to an undefeated regular season, then you are something special.
Screw Chip Kelly, screw Dan Mullen, screw Lane Kiffin (not really), screw anyone else on your team’s radar. Every program in the country should be throwing the kitchen sink at Scott Frost in order to land this guy.
Scott Frost came in with zero help and flipped UCF in a complete 180. Find me another guy who has ever done something like this. To my recollection, there has never been anything close. It’s incredible. To be able to get compete with 3 of the most historically successful football programs in college football and get players in Florida is incredible by itself. To be able to compete on the field with practically any team in the country is another.
Frost has put UCF in a league of their own. They’re not quite up to a power 5 level, even though they are one of the two undefeated teams left in the entire country. At the same time, you can’t put them in the same category as teams like ECU, Tulsa, Tulane, or any of the other sub-par team in the American Athletic Conference. When they played Memphis, the 1st place team in the west division, they boat raced them 40-13. They’ve put themselves above those types of teams.
Frost has an unbelievably bright future. At such a young age, he has made a name for himself as a dominant head coach. Imagine what this guy can do at schools where the recruiting competition is not as fierce, or where the program sells itself. He will be able to compete with anyone in any conference. Places like Florida, where he could potentially dominate recruiting in the state, or his alma mater, Nebraska, where he could recruit a whole set of states by himself practically and bring back a once successful program. These are the kind of places where Frost would thrive.
Scott Frost has the ability to create a dynasty anywhere, but where will he end up? I believe all schools in a coaching search should do all they can to try and get this guy. The only two obvious choices, though, are the University of Florida or the University of Nebraska. Both schools have their pros and cons regarding Frost. Florida would be perfect because he has made a name for himself there since being at UCF. He could take over a program that is down and turn them around quickly. I could picture him competing for the SEC East every single year at Florida. Nebraska would probably take a bit longer. He has ties to Nebraska, and I think this draws him closer there. Both schools have great qualities, and I think that he will be successful wherever he goes.
This guy is a winner. He knows how to get the job done. His team plays hard. He knows how to win. I truly believe that Scott Frost should be at the top of every single school’s potential coach list. Watch out for this guy. He is going to be a great head coach, and could be competing for a national championship very soon.
