Brace yourself for a very different Selection Show on Sunday. All teams will be unveiled in alpha order (grouped by Auto-Bid and At-Large) in first 5-10 mins. Than matchups will be slotted into seeds/bracket. Also in front of a live studio audience. (from Turner's Craig Barry)

You have got to be kidding me. This must be some type of sick joke. There is no way CBS and the Selection Sunday show is going to go through with this.
Basically, if you don’t understand the tweet above, the Selection Show this Sunday will reveal all 68 teams in order of at large bids and automatic bids and then they will release the bracket.
Ummmmmmm. What?!?!?!
Where is the fun in this? Seriously, Selection Sunday is like my Christmas and they’re basically saying, instead of Christmas you get the day after, Canadian Boxing Day.
The tension, the excitement, even the occasional disappointment. All the teams gathered at their schools waiting to see if they get in or not and then when the get in and they’re jumping up and down going crazy, is GREAT television. Are we seriously not going to get that this year? I don’t think so. How are they going to focus on one team when all 68 are being announced? You can’t focus and show footage of all the teams being excited or disappointed when they’re all announced at once.
Seriously, who thinks of these ideas? How do these people get their jobs?
Give me the old format, when a team doesn’t think they have a chance, they think they’re going to the NIT and then surprisingly they get in, and they start going nuts. That is what Selection Sunday is all about and it’s a damn shame we won’t be getting that.
Why do we have to change things that are already perfect.
- Selection Sunday
- MLB Homerun Derby
- NBA Dunk Contest
They all used to be perfect and now they are completely butchered. Thanks, a lot CBS, you ruined everything.
