SKOL Nation, It’s Time To Tank For Trevor

I hate losing. Actually, I think I hate it more than I like winning. It pisses me off, and the Vikings losing on a Sunday ruins my weekend. With that being said, it is time to push all of the chips in and tank for Trevor Lawrence.

A few weeks ago on this very website, I predicted that Minnesota would go 9-7. Nothing great, but certainly better than what they have shown over the first two weeks.

What’s wrong?

The Vikings straight up stink. I knew their cornerbacks were going to be vulnerable this season as they are all so damn young. Trae Waynes and Xavier Rhodes did a good job over the last couple of years locking down the perimeter. But, the youth in the secondary is allowing teams to score and move the ball at will.

Plus, star edge rusher Danielle Hunter and Pro Bowler Anthony Barr have already found themselves on the IR.

Offensively, I don’t know where to start. I have shown support for Kirk Cousins since his signing in 2018. I’ve enjoyed watching him…before this year. It is time to look towards the future.

Time to lose for Trevor

I want the Vikings to lose every game by 20 this year. I want them to leave no doubt that they will be picking first in next spring’s NFL Draft. Trevor Lawrence has been the golden prospect since he started at Clemson his freshman year. His time has come to be drafted.

He is the no-doubt-guaranteed to be franchise quarterback that the Vikings need. This team still has so much talent, but rest the great, young players this year and get that top draft pick.

Cut the loose ends

There are a few veterans that they could let walk. I hate letting players go that have been with the team for years, but this is a business. The best business decision Minnesota can make right now is to lose.
