As of recently, Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has expressed major interest in being drafted by…the Cleveland Browns. Yea I shit you not, this dude actually wants to play for the 0-16 team that has destroyed the careers of countless quarterbacks in the 21st century.

According to an article on 247sports.com Allen said in an interview with 92.3 The Fan that not only would he embrace the challenge of being the Browns quarterback, he would revel in it.

Now, this strikes me as a major red flag, something is clearly not right here. How could anyone have the slightest amount of interest, let alone as much as Allen, in playing quarterback for the Browns?

Since returning to the NFL in 1999, the Browns have tried out 28 men to be their starting quarterback, and 28 men have failed notoriously. Coincidence?

Absolutely not. For whatever reason, this place is a complete quarterback graveyard. At this point, the organization needs to consider an offense that does not use a quarterback rather than annually wasting a draft pick on one every year.

Speaking of quarterbacks in the draft named Josh, let’s look at UCLA gunslinger Josh Rosen. In an interview prior to the Cactus Bowl, he mildly hinted he’s trying to avoid playing for the Browns at all costs, “I’d rather be a lower pick at the right team than a higher one at the wrong team,” Rosen said (per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com).

Staying with quarterbacks from a Los Angeles school who have been critical of going to the Browns, there’s also USC’s Sam Darnold. Earlier in the season, there were reports of Darnold saying he’d return to school if the Browns ended up with one of the top two picks. Obviously, given that the Browns have the number one pick and Darnold has declared for the draft, he’s since back peddled on that idea.

Let’s circle back around to Josh Allen and his optimism for being the Browns quarterback. Where could this have stemmed from? Perhaps Allen is being influenced by those around him. As it turns out, Allen and Darnold are actually rooming together in San Clemente, California as they train for the upcoming draft. The two are working with former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer.

Palmer’s older brother Carson was with Browns head coach Hue Jackson in Cincinnati from 2004-06 and then again when Jackson was the Oakland Raiders head coach in 2011. He was also Jordan’s quarterback coach when he was in Cincinnati from 2008-10 was Ken Zampese, the Browns current quarterback coach. So that being said, Palmer definitely has some connections with the Cleveland Browns organization.

Is it possible that Palmer and Darnold are colluding to brainwash Allen into wanting to play for the Browns?

Think about it; as we already know, Darnold backpedaled on his comments about staying in school over going to Browns. It’s not like he saw they were probably not gonna win a game and thought “Oh, maybe I do want to play for them!” right? He clearly still doesn’t want to play for the Browns, but now he has a scape goat in Allen.

Also, Allen did go to Wyoming, can we even confirm technology such as television, internet, and smartphones even exist out there? It could be possible Allen has no fucking clue how terrible the Browns really are!

Sound like an outlandish claim?

Think about it, when the last time you ever heard someone talk about watching ESPN or Pornhub while in the state of Wyoming?

I’ll wait!
