“This is a tough one for me. I don’t like the idea of Patrick Mahomes winning his second Super Bowl and potentially kicking off a decade of Chiefs’ dominance. With that said, I think the Chiefs are still the lesser of two evils. Historically, I’ve hated the Eagles, their franchise, their fan base, and anything that may be associated with the overdramatic football team in Philly. While there is no obvious reason, it feels like the Eagles fanbase should have been cancelled a long time ago.
When it comes to what I’ve seen on the field, it’s tough to separate these two teams and the line sitting at 1.5 speaks for itself. While the Eagles have been able to breeze through each playoff matchup, I feel that the Chiefs have already won their toughest game against the Bengals.”

“This is hell. I either have to pick to root for scum from Philly to be happy or Brittany and Jackson Mahomes. This sucks. Hurts has a lingering shoulder injury that could effect him pushing the ball down field vs the Chiefs below average defensive backs, but he has been the best mobile quarterback all season. The biggest matchup is the Eagles offensive line vs the Chiefs defensive line. Chris Jones has been a stud all year, and George Karlaftis and Frank Clark have made their presence known off the edge. If Kansas City gets after Hurts then they win. I don’t see it happening, though. Grease the poles and prepare for a riot in Philly.”

“The Eagles have a better roster than the Chiefs. They’ve won two playoff games in blowout fashion. They will easily handle the Chiefs, right? At least that’s what everyone’s saying. One thing that people know about me is I don’t trust public opinion and when everyone and their mother is on the Eagles, I will take the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes will be the best player on the field and the Eagles have not been tested at all on this run. Keep making Mahomes the underdog and he will keep delivering. This Chiefs offensive line is so, so much better than the Bucs Super Bowl loss where they were shredded. They will be better equipped to handle the Philly D line. Plus, analytically, the city of Philadelphia has already lost two championships this year with the Phillies and the Union. Patterns show the Eagles will make it 3.”

“Mahomes hampered, they’re the more complete team. The LeBron-Mahomes comp is sitting in the lobby that a bunch of Stan Twitter accounts can’t wait to block each other over.”

“Andy Reid shit-for-brains typically rears its ugly head in the most meaningful points of the season. And while Kansas City is normally a good play to put up some points, the Chiefs haven’t seen a defense like this in quite some time. Patrick Mahomes looked terrific against Cincinnati, but how much of that was uncharacteristic missteps from a mismatched Bengals defense, and how much of that was Andy Reid’s game plan that is somehow being credited to Eric Bieniemy and Matt Nagy?
Regardless, the Eagles simply own a devastating defensive line, a secondary capable of shutting down the big plays from Mahomes, and an offense with enough physicality and flair to make Frank Clark and Chris Jones invisible for the Big Game. Jalen Hurts might not be the best quarterback in the league, but he fits Nick Sirianni’s offense so well, he’s the de facto No. 1 in the NFC at this point. And this is essentially one offseason removed from conversations of catastrophe regarding Philadelphia’s crisis in confidence with Hurts. That conversation is over — and so is the Eagles’ four-year Super Bowl drought. My inner-Bears fan weeps. Go Birds.”

“Philadelphia has the more dynamic weapons at WR and are leading the NFL in playoff sacks with 8. That could prove crucial to the mobility of Mahomes if his ankle is still bothering him, causing costly mistakes and turnovers. The Eagles have had a much easier path to the SB but that’s not their fault and will have the rest and health advantage. Cue ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ and re-grease the poles because the Lombardi is coming back home to Philly!”

“Something tells me we see a lot of points in this game. This Eagles team has had a good defense all year and they’ll find a way to force a costly turnover on Patrick Mahomes that secures their 2nd Super Bowl in six seasons.”

“I think the Eagles offense will be too much for the chiefs to stop. Also, the Eagles defense has been on fire this playoffs so far. They are making the stops when they need to. I think the Chiefs will score but the Eagles will be too much.”

“My Super Bowl pick is Kansas City +105 and under 50.5. The Chiefs are poised to win this game, everybody is all on the Eagles with 61% of the bets going towards Philadelphia. We got two stories to keep an eye on here, obviously the Kelce bowl, but we also have Andy Reid going up against the team he coached before the Chiefs. The Chiefs have the better quarterback and their defense has shown up in big games all season long. For the under, the last three times the Chiefs have gone to the Super Bowl, the under has hit. I think this is a 24-20 victory for the Kansas City Chiefs with Mahomes winning his second title and his second Super Bowl MVP trophy.”

Eagles are the better team especially up front on the OLine and DLine. It will be challenge to slow down Mahomes for sure but Eagles have enough playmakers to squeak out a win.

“Eagles are too much for Kansas City to stop even if the Chiefs have Mahomes magic and Travis Kelce’s superior football intellect. With Mahomes playing on a high ankle sprain for a 2nd time, I don’t envision he can carry the team to another victory. On a separate note, I do hate this pick because Nick Sirianni and Eagles fans alike will be even more obnoxious than they already are.
The game feels like a lose-lose. Eagles win and Nick Sirianni becomes a bigger prick, or Chiefs win and Brittany/Jackson Mahomes destroy the internet with their screams ringing in our ears for the entire off-season.”
