Following the announcement in July that the Southwestern Athletic Conference would postpone all fall competition in 2020. The SWAC announced today the schedule for all 10 football programs that will take place during the spring of 2021.
The SWAC also managed to make some history by becoming the first conference to release its spring football schedule amid COVID-19. The Big Ten and Pac-12 have also postponed their fall competitions but have yet to announce any sort of upcoming schedule.
SWAC football programs are expected to prepare for the upcoming season during an eight-week time frame starting in January. As well the conference has committed to remain flexible with possible necessary changes depending on the progress of the virus’ containment.
