For the third straight year, Kentucky beat South Carolina. This is the same Kentucky that continually disappoints year after year. The same Kentucky that inspires Tennessee fans to rest in the fact that “at least they aren’t Kentucky.” There is a very real possibility that the poor class of 2017 may not ever see a win over the Wildcats during their college career. That’s very sad.

Nothing seemed to work on Saturday. Stanley “Boom” Williams ran at will while the Gamecock offense continually generated 3 and out after 3 and out. I was continually convincing myself that we were going to do something, like get a couple first downs, but no. It was just nothing. The offense generated nothing. And sure, we held UK to only 135 yards through the air, but what they lacked in the passing game they made up for in the rushing attack. Our defense was gashed for 216 yards by an inexperienced offensive line and an average back. This is going to be a long year. The youth is plaguing our team and assignment discipline is a real issue in our front seven. This should improve with the solid recruiting class that Muschamp is putting together for next season, but this year, especially Saturday, could be painful. Texas A&M is a deserving top 10 team, and we are a deserving not top 50 team. Inexperienced youth going up against an experienced graduate quarterback who has a win against Alabama and some of the best skill players in the country to play with is not a recipe for success. Saturday is not looking good… but then again Clemson is gonna lose to Louisville so that could make it a bit better.

Baylor pushed itself to the forefront of the BIG12 title race early in the season. Led by senior QB Seth Russell, the Bears put up 523 yards of offense while holding Oklahoma State’s prolific offense to 492 yards and only 24 points.

Tennessee also made a statement in the SEC East title race. By completing the comeback against Florida, Butch Jones still did nothing to convince me that he isn’t the worst coach in America.
