After going 2-2 on last Saturday’s slate of best bet games, we find ourselves at 26-22 (+0.37u) on the season. 54.2% on the season for best bets and we have to get better. I mean, we are above 50% on the season, but we can and will be better. With that being said here is my best bet for the MACTION slate of games on Tuesday, November 7th.
Central Michigan vs Western Michigan (-3) (O/U 56.5) 7 PM EST
This matchup with Central Michigan and Western Michigan will be the most entertaining game on the slate tonight. The Chippewas come in after beating Northern Illinois at home last week, while Western Michigan comes off an absolute beating that they gave Eastern Michigan. With the matchup in Kalamazoo this week, it makes it easier for me to bet this game.
The Chippewas struggle offensively as they average 23.4 points per game and they are 100% led by their rushing attack. Running back Marion Lukes is coming off a 202 yard rushing performance last week where he averaged 9.6 yards per carry. It was a season best for Lukes, but he comes into this week with some struggles in his road outings this season. He has rushed for only 180 rushing yards total in road games this season while averaging 3.7 yards per carry. Central Michigan will need better play from him to win this week. Plus, this Chippewas defense is super suspect and the Broncos should have their way with them.
Western Michigan is great on the ground as they are 74th in the nation in rushing yards per game (170.7). The Broncos are led by Jalen Buckley who has 775 rushing yards on the year to go along with 5.6 yards per carry and 7 touchdowns. They also average 26.2 points per game and 394.9 total yards of offense. This offense has the potential for a big game against Central Michigan’s defense. Defensively, the Broncos aren’t great either. Once upon a time this season, they gave up 41 points to an Iowa offense that is horrible. The Broncos will have to stop the Chippewas rushing attack in order to win this one.

The Don’s Best Bet
I am taking Western Michigan -3 at -108 odds for one unit. The Broncos are at home and Central Michigan struggles on the road. I love the home favorite here to win this game by more than three points for two reasons. The first reason is that Central Michigan is 1-4 away from home this season. Reason number two is that the success that they have had against Central Michigan lately is going to continue. Both defenses are bad so take a peak at the over, but I see this finishing as a 24-17 Western Michigan victory.
