If you missed this weekend of college football, I’m sorry. But look no further than right here to catch up on what happened.

  • Take a bow, Lamar Jackson.

What Lamar Jackson did against Syracuse and Charlotte was spectacular, but those are two below average opponents. Do that same damage against the number two team in the country? You just sprung yourself into the front of the Heisman race. The Lamar Jackson bandwagon turned from a Prius into a freight train. Enjoy it, college football fans. Because we’ve got at least two more years of watching the Lamar Jackson show.

  • QUIT SLEEPING ON MICHIGAN STATE!!!

The Michigan State football team is like your favorite bar on campus. It’s not the flashiest place. It isn’t new. But it is always fun. New places open up and everyone says, “Oh, this new place is gonna be so much better.” Well, guess what? IT’S NEVER BETTER! Every year the analysts say that Michigan State is going to take a step back, but they never do. Their win over Notre Dame proves that this year is no different.

  • What’s up with Baker Mayfield?

I normally don’t pose questions in my articles. I try to answer them, but I don’t think anyone knows the answer to this question. Mayfield just doesn’t look like himself. He’s tentative, his decision-making is poor, and he’s been inaccurate. He has plenty of time to pull it together this year, and Houston and Ohio State are title contenders, but this isn’t the Baker Mayfield we saw last year. And I think I can speak for all of college football fans that we miss him.

  • Hey everybody, stop scheduling North Dakota State. Period.

At what point are FBS teams going to stop playing NDSU? How many wins is it going to take? 10? 15? FBS teams can literally not beat the Bisons. I would bet on them beating Alabama at this point (not really, but you get my point). It’s to the point where people are seriously considering this as a quality loss for Iowa. I think it’s time they move up to the FBS. But what’s the point? They’ll probably just win a national championship.

  • Alabama finally got the monkey off their back.

Imagine failing two straight Calculus exams, then after a month of pondering those two failed exams, you had to take another. That’s one of those feelings you can never shake. It’s the pit in your stomach. The monkey on your back. That’s how Alabama felt playing Ole Miss. The Rebels are the one team that has figured out the formula for beating the Crimson Tide the last few years. But now, it seems like those days are over. And with the monkey finally off their back, Saban’s squad looks scary good.

  • Texas isn’t back. Yet.

Don’t jump on that Texas bandwagon yet. Shane Buechele has potential to be the real deal at quarterback, and their game against Notre Dame was impressive. But their loss to Cal is proof that they are not the National Championship candidate that people are making them out to be. They are improving and there are better days ahead in Austin, but they aren’t there. Yet.

  • Danny Etling is the best option for LSU at QB. Let that sink in.

Leonard Fournette is your awesome friend that has a horrible girlfriend. You love him as a friend, but he would be a much better friend if his girlfriend didn’t suck. We unfortunately will never see how effective Fournette could be if he was in a system with a capable quarterback. He’s still one of the best running backs in the league, but we can only imagine the stats he would put up if he didn’t have awful quarterbacks holding him back.
