Over the past few weeks, NBA teams have been releasing their new Nike NBA City Jerseys for the upcoming season. The City jerseys were introduced in 2017 by Nike. They have done a pretty solid job getting teams the best alternate jersey they can, with unique color schemes and fonts. However, some of the jersey designs are questionable, and sometimes turned into internet memes.
Let’s take a look at MY top 5 best and worst 2020-2021 NBA City Jerseys.
Top 5 WORST Jerseys
5. Golden State Warriors
Golden State’s City uniform is a throwback from the 2000s. I was never a fan of the navy blue and the orange, so I had to stick it into the top 5 worst. They are also introducing the “Oakland Forever” court, which compliments the jerseys.
4. Oklahoma City Thunder
Orange is a very difficult color to go with, and black and blue do not do it. The font is also a little plain. I was expecting a little more from OKC, as their City jerseys have been pretty solid for the past few years.
3. Brooklyn Nets
I don’t even know how to describe these. There is so much going on. They remind me of the Mavericks city jersey from last year, with the playful fonts and colors, but this is just not a clean jersey.
2. Los Angeles Clippers
Little bit of an odd-ball here from me (what can I say, I’m an unpredictable guy). I never liked the Clippers black unis. There is something off about them. I think they could’ve done something more with red.

Top 5 BEST Jerseys
5. Cleveland Cavaliers
I feel as if Cleveland has swung and missed on their City Jerseys the past few years, but these are sweet. Along with the jersey, they are introducing a solid grey court, which will look nice with these jerseys.
4. Indiana Pacers
I’m a big pinstripe guy. This shade of blue with the yellow pinstripes and yellow accents is so nice. It was a risky move going pinstripes, but they knocked it out of the park with these.
3. Houston Rockets
The Rockets have stepped out of their comfort zone with these. The past few seasons we have just seen different variations of the red, black and white. The light blue just works on these unis for some reason. I am a big fan of these.
2. Dallas Mavericks
You can never go wrong with white and gold. These jerseys are just so nice, really nothing else to say about them.
1. Miami Heat
The Miami Heat Vice jerseys have been a fan favorite since they came out. The light blue and pink just complement each other so well. I think this was an easy choice for the number 1 spot on the best NBA City Jerseys.
