Man oh man, what a weekend. Ah, yes week 6 was a wild week of College Football, full of kickass tailgates and blocked game-winning PATs. Houston can say goodbye to their playoff hopes after getting upset by Navy, and my MSU Spartans reminded everyone they have some MAJOR flaws on both sides of the ball. And while we’re talking about football in the state of Michigan, that gross school in Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan, beat the absolute daylights out of Rutgers 78-0 and earned their fans a 50% off at the local steakhouse (no I’m not making this up). Week 6 was one for the books, but it’s time for week 7 so grab a brew and let’s take a look at some matchups.

My MUST WATCH Games For Week 7:

#2 Ohio State vs. #8 Wisconsin

Do not be surprised if this is the exact same matchup you see in the Big Ten Championship later this year. Going up against Ohio State this year reminds me of when you decide to mix your liquors. People will warn you prior to the game of how bad it will be, but you don’t listen to the doubters and early in the night(game) you think you might actually be smooth! But then before you know it you’re all sorts of fucked up on the floor of a McDonald’s bathroom(when OSU goes up by 3 scores) and you don’t know how it got to be this bad. Yeah.. OSU is that dangerous. Wisconsin, on the other hand, is fresh off a tough 14-7 loss to Michigan. BUT don’t get it twisted, Wisconsin still boasts of the best defensive teams in the nation, and they made MSU look like my high school’s freshman football team three weeks ago.

Prediction: OSU plows through the Badgers for a big win at home.

#12 Ole Miss vs. #22 Arkansas

This one should be one of the better matchups in the SEC all year when you consider both teams already have tough losses on their record and are fighting to prove their worth. The biggest thing to watch for in this game would be the showdown of Chad Kelly vs. Austin Allen; it could turn out to be an extremely fun game to watch offensively. First off, thank God that Chad “Swag” Kelly is WAY better at football than he is at rapping because the “bars” he dropped a few years back were uh… pretty average (sorry Swag Kelly). BUT on the field, he has a cannon of an arm and his ability to bust out of the pocket for a big run at any time is why he’s the best QB in the SEC and he seems to show it in every big game Ole Miss plays. Austin Allen is the Junior finally getting his shot to start, but you wouldn’t know it’s his first year based on the way he’s been balling out. Averaging 270+ passing yards a game and 16 touchdowns total already, it should not be a surprise if Austin Allen dominates an average Ole Miss defense.

Prediction: Swag Kelly is going to be too much for the Hogs. Close win.

#1 Alabama vs. #9 Tennessee
The truth of the matter here is Tennessee was so magical the first 5 weeks of the year that many analysts were comparing them to the 2013 Auburn Tigers, but that all came crashing to the ground when Texas A&M gave them a reality check in double OT. With that said QB Josh Dobbs has been great at leading comebacks this year, and frankly, the way he can burn a defense should be downright illegal. Alabama’s undefeated record and their #1 ranking tell you all you really need to know about this team. The defending natty champs are simply the Grey Goose of college football teams. They are the best of the best, and everything they do both offensively and defensively is smooth. They make beating ranked teams look like it’s just a walk in the park.

Prediction: Tennessee will keep it close, but Alabama gets the W to stay undefeated.

Quick hits:

Notre Dame over Stanford- Okay before you call me dumb for betting on Notre Dame, Stanford looked awful the past two weeks and my dude Deshone Kizer is a freak. Irish win big.

#16 Miami over UNC- UNC has put together a good season, but Miami’s defense is practically a brick wall. I think they avenge last week’s loss to rival FSU by dominating UNC at home.

Indiana over #10 Nebraska- Indiana just held J.T Barrett to only 93 yards passing, and has played well this year. I don’t think Nebraska is as good as advertised and IU upsets them.

Oregon State over #21 Utah- Sorry Utes, the Beavers are fresh off a nice win over Cal and I got them staying hot and winning Saturday.

Alright fellas, I’m out. Make sure to hit the tailgates hard this weekend and let’s hope my Spartans can maybe win our homecoming game(key word maybe). As always, stay lit my friends.
