The University of Maryland Baltimore County, better known as UMBC, made history Friday night, becoming the first 16-seed to win an NCAA Tournament game, defeating Virginia 74-54.

While the Retrievers took care of business on the court, UMBC’s social media director took care of business on Twitter, especially targeting Seth Davis. Like the old saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is a friend. @UMBCAthletics, you are now my friend.

So Seth Davis gave UVA the win before a minute had passed in the game. Wrong move Seth.

Then, UMBC had to defend themselves when people begin to question whether they belonged in the tournament.

When you find out you’re trending on Twitter.

Seth Davis. Again. Do not make an enemy out of UMBC.

Not even Jon Heyman is safe!

Asking the hard-hitting questions as always.

Read this one. Then read it again. Got ya.

THINK ABOUT THE IT PEOPLE!!!!

Seth Davis cannot escape his early blunder.

Channeling their inner Birdman.

Congratulations to UMBC. I never thought I would see the day that a 1-seed is taken down by a 16-seed. At this point, I’m not even mad that my entire bracket is in flames.
