It’s official—the NFL season is finally upon us, and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. We’ve got a fantastic matchup to start off the season as well, with the Ravens heading to Kansas City to take on the back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. Here’s a record of my NFL bets over the last two seasons:

We have hit at a 54.8% clip and we’re up just under 30 units. You should listen to the Don when it comes to the NFL. With that being said here are my bets for the Thursday Night Football season opener.

Betting Trends

-Ravens are 6-3 ATS in their last 9 games.

-Ravens are 5-0 SU in their last 5 road games.

-The under is 8-1 in Kansas City’s last nine home games.

-The over is 4-2 in the last six meetings between these two teams.

ANYTIME SCORER

Derrick Henry Anytime TD -120

We’re starting off with a prop here, and it’s an easy one, to say the least. Derrick Henry joins the Ravens after eight seasons in Tennessee and is about to start an incredible season in his first year in Baltimore. Henry has rushed for 10+ touchdowns in each of the last six seasons. In four meetings against the Chiefs, he has rushed for 6 touchdowns. Kansas City is going to struggle to contain him, and he’s starting his tenure in Baltimore with a touchdown on opening night.

Ravens +3 -118

I love the Ravens here in this spot to not only cover, but to win this game outright potentially.

John Harbaugh is the best coach against the spread in Week 1 games among active head coaches. The Ravens have won seven of their last eight Week 1 matchups as well. I think Lamar and company will be fired up to make a statement in Week 1. Kansas City’s secondary took a hit losing Sneed, and I think they will come out rusty in this opener. Take the Ravens +3 and Derrick Henry Anytime TD for one unit each, and I’ll see you at the cash counter to kick off Week 1.
