After another atrocious performance on both sides of the ball, the Kansas Jayhawks have once again found themselves a spot as the laughing stock of college football. In two weeks, the Jayhawks have been outscored 88-0 (!!) and their offensive scheme and production can be described with any synonym for “non-existent.”
To make matters even worse, things don’t seem to be looking up for Kansas in the next five weeks. With rivalry matchups against Kansas State and (0-7) Baylor on the horizon, the hopes of matching last season’s two-win total have been . Even against a winless Baylor Bears squad, the Jayhawks may not cover the spread.
Then the odds are forever not in the Jayhawks favor to close out 2017. With an away contest in Texas, something tells me KU students won’t be traveling well to Austin to tear down another goal post as a form of celebration. After all, they hardly travel the half mile to Memorial Stadium for home games on campus in Lawrence.
Finally, not gracefully, the finish line. Just two weeks of utter annihilating beatdowns from playoff pushers in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State attempting one last-ditch effort to squeak into the CFP.
Kansas fans just need constant reminders that basketball season is right around the corner of the Campanile and Baylor is still winless.

- We could mention Sam Darnold’s name in Heisman conversations without being laughed at and/or scolded.
- Nobody knew whether or not JT Barrett was actually a good QB… the jury is still out on this one.

- The beloved Red Panda hadn’t dropped a stack of plates.
- Ed Orgeron was on the Hot Seat…
- Dabo Swinney was not.
- Gordon Hayward was alive.
- Rick Pitino was technically employed.
- So was Earl Watson.
- 4-8 jokes were still acceptable about Notre Dame. (Note: They still are)
- Kansas had not defeated Texas in 75 years. Oh, wait… scratch that last one.
- The PAC 12 still had their eyes set on a return to the College Football Playoff. How foolish…
- Ben Roethlisberger hadn’t thrown five interceptions to the #elite Jaguars defense.
- Cornrows Wiggins hadn’t been unleashed yet.
- Dusty Baker hadn’t ruined Max Scherzer yet.
- I still believed in Santa.
- Clemson Carl wasn’t a lifelong Astros fan yet.
- KU still had a respectable coach…smh
- And finally, Charlie Weis was still receiving checks from Notre Dame and Kansas (Another L for the Jayhawks).
