World Series Bet of the Night: 10/28/2022

Are you new to gambling? A veteran? A numbers nerd or always trusting your gut? No matter who you are, you’re looking for a bet to cash tonight. I have that bet for you.

I can’t even begin to explain my frustration last night. Everything I laid out essentially happened. “Seattle has been brutal on the power play defensively so far so that is a legitimate worry”. The Kraken lost and gave up 2 goals when the Canucks had the man advantage. The Kraken outshot the previously winless Canucks 36-19 and still managed to lose. Gotta shake it and move on

Record: 3-4, -0.86U (These are always responsible, one-unit bets)

Background

As a huge baseball guy, you had to know the bet tonight was going to be involving game 1 of the World Series. I feel a little bad, but we are going to be picking on another Phillies hitter tonight. Is that rude? I’d say it might be, but we are looking for a winner and it’s my job to give you a solid bet when I see it.

World Series Bet: Castellanos Under 0.5 Hits (+139)

Castellanos to go hitless tonight. I am a little terrified that he may hit a deep drive to left. However, it’s about the numbers and we are trusting the numbers like always. What do the numbers say? Castellanos is 1-8 with 4 strikeouts in his career against Verlander and hasn’t seen him since May of 2019. How does he fair against the rest of the Astros staff? Well, against those on the World Series roster for the ‘Stros he’s a career 4-41 hitter or .097 BA. Most of this Astros team is accustomed to big playoff games. This will be Verlander’s 8th start in the World Series so I trust there will be less nerves than for most. For Castellanos, this is his first career game in the World Series and it’s on the road. Certainly, there will be some jitters tonight.
