Not since Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators ten years ago has anyone repeated as NCAA champion. I think that could change this year with Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats. Now it won’t be easy as they will have to likely run thought the likes of Wisconsin, Virginia or Florida, Duke, and more, they are right there among the top teams in the country.

Nova has cruised through the Big East this season, taking care of everyone in their path (besides Butler). By both BPI and RPI, the Wildcats are the top team in the land. They have a great team, from top to bottom. They are led by Naismith Award Finalist Josh Hart and a future star in Jalen Brunson. They have the 4th ranked team in terms of offensive efficiency and 25^th in defensive efficiency. This team is just as good as the one they had last year, if not better on the offensive end.

After winning the Big East Tourney, Nova is looking to make another run. With almost a week off before tournament games starting, they will be as fresh as Jay Wright’s suit game.
