Siena wins 78-68. Rider walks off, no handhakes. Jimmy Patsos does the handshakes on his own, anyway. pic.twitter.com/iV4Ko2zmWo

It’s been a good couple of weeks for Siena basketball coach Jimmy Patsos. His team is currently riding a 4 game winning streak, and the Saints now sit just one game out of first place in the MAAC. Patsos is riding so high that he didn’t even mind when Rider coach Kevin Baggett and his team bypassed the handshake line and stormed off the court following Siena’s 78-68 win on Tuesday night.
Watch Patsos closely. He doesn’t even break stride before walking through the imaginary handshake line and pretending to congratulate the entire team.
This is exactly the correct response for Baggett’s actions. I don’t know if I’ve seen a move this childish since my little league coach benched my friend and me for (successfully) running the hidden ball trick. Apparently Rider’s 19 losses last year weren’t enough for Baggett to learn how to lose like a man. I fully expect Baggett to wake up to a 7 minute voice mail from Coach K about how to handle defeat like a man.
In the mean time, stay golden Jimmy Patsos.
