Late last night, legendary sportscaster and Dodgers staple Vin Scully passed away at the age of 94. Scully was part of the Dodgers organization from 1950-2016 and began announcing games full-time in 1954. In 1953, Scully became the youngest person to ever call a World Series game at 25-years-old. He still holds that distinction to this day.

Over Scully’s illustrious career, he won the Ford C. Frick Award in 1982, the Commissioners Historic Achievement Award in 2014, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition, he had his Los Angeles Dodgers microphone retired. The sports world lost a legend and a true character yesterday. Rest in peace, Vin Scully.
